Nothing happens to your CV that you have not read first.

CV Foundry is deliberately slower than a one-click generator. The slowness is the product: it is where accuracy comes from.

1. 01

   Import what you already have

   Upload a PDF or Word document up to 8MB. Text is extracted in your browser before anything is sent anywhere, then structured into contact details, roles, education, skills and certifications. If your file is a scan with no text layer, we will tell you plainly rather than guess — and guided entry takes over.

   • PDF and DOCX accepted; file type is verified by content, not by extension.
   • Guided entry asks role-by-role questions if you have nothing to upload.
   • Your original upload is stored privately and is only readable by you.
2. 02

   Confirm the facts before anything is rewritten

   Extraction is never perfect, and it should not pretend to be. Every field lands in an editor marked with where it came from. You fix titles, dates and employers first — we flag date gaps, overlapping roles and missing end dates so nothing embarrassing survives into the final document.

   • Chronology warnings for gaps, overlaps and impossible dates.
   • Completeness audit for missing contact details, thin roles and empty sections.
   • Nothing is rewritten until the underlying facts are yours.
3. 03

   Review every rewrite side by side

   The writing assistant proposes a stronger version of each summary and bullet: active voice, scope first, outcome second, no filler. Your original stays visible next to it. Accept, edit, or reject each one individually. Where a number would make a claim land, you are asked for it — you are never given one you did not supply.

   • Accept, edit or reject each suggestion independently.
   • Prompts for metrics you can verify, never invented figures.
   • Live preview of the finished page as you work.
4. 04

   Generate both documents

   Choose one of six template pairs and generate. You receive a premium document designed for a human reader and an ATS-safe version carrying identical wording in a single column with conventional headings. Download both PDFs immediately.

   • Three full generations per account, enforced in the database.
   • Premium and ATS PDFs, both fully text-selectable.
   • Downloaded directly to your device — no email delivery step.
