Privacy
A CV is sensitive. We treat it that way.
This is the plain-English version, and it is the accurate one.
What we store
On our server we store your Google account email and display name, login count, and how many generations you have used. Your CV drafts stay in this browser. We do not store finished PDFs or ask for unrelated personal information.
Where CV drafts live
Draft projects are saved in this browser's local storage. Uploaded PDF or DOCX files are read in the browser and are not kept on our server. Clearing browser storage removes those local drafts.
How the writing assistant uses your text
When you import a document or ask for suggestions, the relevant CV text is sent for AI processing and returned to your browser. It is not retained by CV Foundry as a server-side project record. If you use guided entry without AI suggestions, that text remains in your browser.
Direct downloads
Finished documents are generated for direct download in your browser. We do not email CV files and we send no marketing email.
Your generation allowance
We record how many generations your account has used so the three-generation limit can be enforced reliably. This counter is tied to your Google sign-in and cannot be reset by signing out or clearing your browser.
Deleting your data
You can delete any project from your dashboard to remove that local browser draft. To remove your login record and generation counter entirely, contact Karan's Lab and we will delete the account record.
CV Foundry is a Karan's Lab product. Questions about any of the above are welcome.
